Get into it with a tape measure mate. I've never heard of this conversion so I would say you will be flying solo on this. If you're keen to fit an atmo 2.0 litre why not the SR20DE? This has been done plenty of times and you can buy off the shelf crossmembers etc for it.

or an l20b,though you have to use a 180b crossmember.or you could just fit a stock a15,which fits right onto the stock crossmember.what sort of a toyota motor is it?
it could be an 18r,a 3s,or even that awful starfire 4,which is 2/3's of a holden 6 cylinder.
is the toyota gearbox a cable or
hydraulic clutch?

Would it be possible to get a late model Nissan Micra, fit the 1.8 litre motor from a Tiida & then turbocharged it? Your answer must include parts numbers for the conversion. You have 12 months. Commence.

Any thing can be done with time, patience and most importantly, money.

As you say you don't know much about engines, so I'd suggest you follow a few of the earlier comments and use a-series or SR.

The SR would be a killer!
