a/c in 1200 ute???

hi all, just wondering if anone here has tryed putting an a/c system in a 1200 ute. i am running a ca18det and im not sure if i have the room for the unit?!! i was thinking about getting a unit that can run off the 12v???? any ideas??

there was a thread about a/c not that long ago

anyway, back to the original topic.

as for room, the pump/compressor (part driven by belt) shood fit in alrite, depends on how big ur interooler is - therfore how much room infront of the radiator remains - as to wether or not u'll get the radiator looking thing in...
then you have to run steel tubes thru the firewall (cutting firewall means eng. cert.) and have a switch to activate the unit somewhere in the cabin.
have a click around google, it knows everything, or have a look about 6 posts up (just disregard that arguement)
if worst comes to worst and u cant get info, just have a go at fitting it in urself. u can always take it out agen.

electric AC compressors

you'll need a 100amp alternator to run it though.

cutting the firewall for hoses has nothing to do with engineer's certs. as long as it is sealed witha rubber grommet or similar to stop chafing and seal the cabin.
