A cooler that has inlet and outlet on the same side would save so much plumbing and lag too (I think the less piping the better....can someone confirm this?) is there any cheep after market coolers like this?

Shaun on a previous thread has said that toymotor supras have standard coolers with both tanks on the same side.

And other people that have done custom installs fill us in on prices and other info.

cheers all

Not exactly but that one could be modified to work.....because the A series engine isnt a cross flow engine (ie it has exhaust and intake on the same side of the head) you have to run a pipe from the drivers side of the cooler either back to the turbo outlet or to the carb which ever way you have it set up.
I dont want to do that I want a cooler with the inlet and the outlet on the passengers side.

cheers for the pic though

just a thought... rotary engines are not crossflow so there may be some factory mazda intercoolers that could be useable and quite cheap...

then again they might not be

If i remember right i think the s4 and s5 rx7 cooler have the pipes on the same side.

I'v seen them at swap meets for a little as $20

note; s5 have bigger pipes which might be better?

Standard S13 coolers, and R32-33 have what you are after, I gave mine away, although you may find them a little small. . .

Go for a trip to your local importers, they should have a stack of them to look through.
