the mr2 is a rear mounted engine too, so not really doable, otherwise my 2zz from the corolla would be in my coupe now!
gotta love 8200rpm of screaming engine, then theres still 5 gears to go......

The 2zz is the better engine with sleeves and better bore, stroke and power.
The 1zz is a lemon with cheap chrome alloy bores that cant be rebuilt.

Yep, 4-AGZE. From the old MR-2. If u use a good management witht the engine standard tink u can get sumting like 130kw from it, and dats standard.

What do dey sell for Down Under? In South Africa i can get the motor with a GOTECH PRO management system with gearbox for R8000. Not sure what the exchange rate is.

The 4age weighs the same as the better engine... Nissan`s ca18de. The ca18de is 1800cc has bigger everything and the first was released in 1980 as a sohc. So you can get away with the same mods as a 4age and get more power. The only problem are the hydralic lifters. Steve Newing has eliminated his competition in heavier stanza coupe with a ca18de with a reliable 230hp at around 8000rpm, He thinks 260-70hp is easily achievable but at the expense of a short power curve.
