Bob,
To give you a line up I have what I would describe as a very strong 'rally' type engine that works from 3-7500rpm. It has a good head that has been ported for a compromise between velocity and maximum flow,10.25/1c/r, a very nice cam that has been properly degeed in, twin 40'sidedraughts, headers etc, however other than a lightened flywheel a standard bottom end.
It was dyno'ed late last year @ 78.1kw@ 7000rpm which I believe equates to 107 hp at the rears.
This was very much a 'dip the toe in the water' preliminary run and highlighted some issues that needed to be addressed ( air box, ignition miss etc) and I would be hopeful of 112-115hp @ 7500rpm on the same dyno the next time I run it.
I would have to say that 150 hp at the rears would seem one hell of a long way off.....
Let us know how it goes.
Cheers
Dave
