just get ures reset, its not too expensive for a new set anyways, reset is only a cuple of hundred bucks, go ask a suspesion mob, u'll b pleasantly surprised

$70 for lowering blocks and $115 to reset standard springs. The extra money is worth it believe me. The springs not only get lower but get their stiffness back. (re-tempered). I had an extra leaf added for stiffness which was another $50.

Blocks are ok but dont do a world of good really as they are going onto usually worn,soft springs. No handling is gained apart from a little bit of lower centre of gravity and you cant put stuff or mates in the back any more for fear of sitting on the bumpstops.

Where did you get it done at? Is that you remove and replace springs your self?

Yeah i took them out and put them back in myself. Yes for under $200. Easy. Jack Beedhams exhaust at redcliffe got them done for me. I would imagine it would be slightly cheaper again if you went direct to the spring guy they use rather than through them.

cus yeh i can put them back in, i just wanted to buy a new set of leafs for the rear and a set of springs for the front...do you know whats the best distance to lower it? i wanted wheels at arches

Is this for a ute or what? Had mine reset to flat(2inch) and it puts the top of the tyre up into the guard. For a ute it might sit a little higher still. If so a small lowering block to bring it down. When they reset mine they also replaced all of the springs bar the main one. For the front i used king spring lows but they were only an 1 1/2" drop so i trimmed a little to match the rear ride height.

FRONT Basically you'd want 2" front or a tad more. (2inch just lets the wheels turn freely.)

REAR And rear id recommend 2" if sedan,coupe or wagon as this puts the tyre into the guard and maybe 2inch reset + a 1 to 1/2" block rear for the ute. Ute owners will nedd to verify this.
