I have a 1976 Datsun 610 wagon and I need a main fuse for it. None of the wrecking yards have one. Can anyone help?

Define "main fuse". Is this the fusible link from the battery?

You can pretty much replace the stock fusible link with any other modern fusible link.

For my Ford Mustang 5.0 liter, I used a Datsun 1200 fusible link. It worked great, never had a problem.

This is the fuse that runs the all the lights for the car. It is located under the dash on the passenger side. it is about1"x2"x2" and has 6 flat prongs on it. It has some numbers on it but I think those are just for the dealer. I could e-mail you a photo of it if you like. I don't know how to attatch a photo to this. Thanks Tivajo

So can you just buy one at the auto parts store? (I am not very car savvy I have to admit.) What would I ask them for, a datsun 1200 fusible link? Thanks, Tivajo

Hi tijavo,

I was thinking about the "main fuse" which is under the hood, and is the main battery feed wire.

I'm not familiar with the headlight fuse, it will probably be very specific to the 610 cars. You might ask in the forums at http://www.dimequarterly.comQuote:

Sounds like a "relay" rather than a simple fuse.

Yes, the Nissan dealer can probably get the part for you. What is the number? Is there one like 25230-89916? Nissan part numbers are five-five.
