Just thought i'd pop in and see how you are all going with your Datto's... Since I sold the old ute she's gone through another set of hands... I think she's well now with a new leather trim which I hear looks nice..
I'm interested in seeing a few of your cars again, Chris how's your beast going?
Since I sold the Ute I've had a Jeep Wrangler, metallic green/gold flake, 22" rims including spare, full custom leather trim... Whilst owning that was very tempted to hit the Datsun scene again but was talked out of it. I have sold the Jeep and now own an '89 S5 RX7 in RX8 Blue, 13BT, height/camber adjustable coil overs, strut braces, 3" exhuast turbo back and the rest is a secret....
Would love to hear how you're all going and also see if you guys are planning an Easter cruise or not?
Let us know.

Nath

Whoops, thought I put this in off topic... Bit out of practice I guess... Sorry guys..

Nathan a Sydney Easter cruise sounds good, Southern Highlands again maybe.

Glad to hear YAJOKN is still with us , but why do these modified utes change hands so often? Do guys get a "big scare" and decide they cant handle the power?

Is the RX7 more satisfying to drive than the Datto?

Hi Man,

I think about the 'ex-datto owners club' sometimes.

Good to hear that the Yajokin ute is living on.

My car is still going ok. But hopefully getting close to the end of the road.

Can't do Easter. I've got a fishing/beer drinking long weekend. Yippee.

Good to see you still think about 1200s

,
Chris

I was wondering what happened to you Nath. Mate your old ute is for sale at the moment for $18,500. How many hands has it changed since??? A guy called Paul is selling it now, is that who you sold it to you???

If i won the lottery, or even scratched $20,000 in a scratchie i'd buy it.

Henry

Yyeah Paul is the guy I sold it to. He ended up getting 18k for it so I guess he's lucky. The new guy that has it has put the plates NTRUDA on it... Paul put #### rims on it and i don't like them a bit but hey, it's not mine anymore. You guys been cruising at all lately? I'm heading down to Canberra soon so i might see what the Datto guys down there a doing... Haven't been on a cruise for ages.... Chris, you gonna keep your car for a while when it's done? Cruising or racing it?

Yeah no plans to sell. I do plan to do some drag racing, and some cruising.

Problem is I only get about 4-8 hours/week to work on the car so everything takes forever.

It's registered, and I got a pile of parts to install, so plenty of Datto work to keep me busy for the next month or two.

I'm keen to get cruising. But need to be 100% confident that I won't get done for defects before I'm willing to hang out in public too much. I really don't have the time to fix defects in the 10 days or whatever they give you. It's not like I can put some parts 'back to standard' as they were never standard to begin with.

The cold weather is great for turbos..Gotta be ready for that ASAP!!

Cheers.

Yeah awesome, hopefully by the time you have yours on the road I'll have my new ECU and it's looking like eBoost2.... Tossing up between a few ECU's at the moment. Trying to talk to some rotary dudes who have different types.. So bring on the cold, and when I get my tune I should be laughing.

Can't wait to catch up..
