Hello everyone,
I'm sick of my stock seats and was wondering if there are any direct exchanges. Something where I wont have to drill new holes to mount new rails.

Always use your original rails. We never drill new holes to mount new rails.

B110, B210 and B310 seats fit, and probably other datsuns like fwd models of the 70s.

You can also fit Ford, Suzuki, whatever using the Datsun rails. In the tech section there is some pics and diagrams on how to do it for a B110.

Years ago I adapted Camaro seats to my Datsun rails. This was in a '74 B210. This swap didnt work in a later model year as the tranny hump got taller to accept the larger trans.

b210 seats did not fit neatly in my 210 it required doing bad things to make them fit. the seats were out of a 79 and i was putting them in an 81. I think i used the 79 rails and made the bolt holes really large (or something) the end result was seats that fit and had less holes.

IF you have a datsun that didn't come with a catalytic converter these things are not an issue as much, in CA the cats keep getting bigger and the mountings for seats gets wackier.

Ain't that the truth! My 76 B210 has about a 3" difference in height for that cat! CA smog laws suck!Quote:

OMG! thats the info I've been looking for about my 77 120y! did this make the transmission tunnel the same for auto and manual? My 74 sedan is flat and the 77 coupe is stepped like you said. Which brings me up to think about another piont, how many versions of 56a 4 speeds were there?

the only difference in tranny tunnels is the AT tunnel is bigger, si i've heard.

The hump for the cat is further back from the tranny, so shouldn't have any effect.

seems like they'd get cheap at some point and just use the AT chassis for all of them. but i guess they didn't

I temporarily installed '79 210 seats into my 1200. I used the 1200 seat rails and had to do some minor mods to the seats, but nothing terribly drastic.

I put Mazda Miata seats into it a month or so ago, and modified the Miata seats rails to go into the 1200. No holes were drilled into the floor, but I did fabricate some rear mounts that were welded to the floor.
