To fit in a larger gearbox in my coupe, I cut out of the transmission tunnel the mounts where the A series gearbox bolts up.
I am going to put an A series gearbox back in my car (to get it registered), but am not sure how to mount the gearbox without welding back in the removed tunnel mounts. Has anyone got any experiences with this?
cheers
Bruce

How about a bit of angle for a crossmember and then a piece of plate on top of the floor. Bolt thru.

Will only leave 2 bolt holes when removed.

Your driveline angles probably won't be the best, but if it is only temporary. . .

I reckon I'll get asked for an engineering certificate If I make something up myself.
I was hoping to use a factory type mount as I could then make it look like it was always there hopefully?
What do people commonly use when they put a manual box in an auto tunnel body?
cheers
