hi guys I want to know...

can a manual spec A14/A15 be put in front of a 3N71B (3 speed auto? or it be as gutless as?

as I think the latest sunny might be an auto... I'm not sure... I will have to check when I pick it up next time I go up to dad's place...

I'm not doing another manual conversion.... converting "The Defect" to a manual was 5 days of hell!

but if it is a manual I do have that F4W60L... (A14 four speed)

Sure, there's very little difference between manual and auto engines (usually a slightly different distributor curve, and sometimes different emissions controls).

Gutless, no. An A14 or A15 in front the auto will be more powerful than and A12 in front the auto.

so with the slightly different distributor curve would it be as simple as just swapping the a15 distributor with the auto A12 engine distributor? where would I go to get my distributor regraphed to suit an engine anyway?

There's no need to get it recurved or to swap distributors, it's only slightly different. For all I know if AUS there is no difference. In the USA every year, market (California, USA, and Canada) and manual and automatic have different curves (that's up to 6 different per year ... for the same A14 engine).

Just put the engine in and go.
