Guy's, I have pulled a cam out of a worked motor I.ve bought and need some help on the cam. It has 224A stamped on the end and I can't find a listing with any cam manufacturer. Any ideas?

this isn't 100% but i think it's a 54/86,usually a wade grind.i can remember seeing this on the back of another cam,so thats what i'm basing my 'guess' on.

Would it be possible to get a late model Nissan Micra, fit the 1.8 litre motor from a Tiida & then turbocharged it? Your answer must include parts numbers for the conversion. You have 12 months. Commence.

I couldn't see this number on either the Tighe or the Wade sites. At least, not under a Datsun A series listing.

Thanks b310gx, I bought this motor (A14) for my Sunny, and was told it is an ex hillclimb motor. It has a 6 litre winged sump and has been o'ringed with a copper head gasket. It runs flat top pistons, and they have some SERIOUS valve reliefs in them, so I think it must be a serious grind. I can't reuse it as the lobes are stuffed! Also, do you know if new cam followers are available?
