its all too common

i wish you luck my friend

they seem to be pretty rare... but you CAN buy them new from nissan at around $20 something per nut...

so a full set of 16 X $20 odd = a lot!

just gotta search search search for them!

Yep. I did the same thing. Bought a set without wheel nuts only to realise how rare they actually are. No one makes them and Nissan themselves discontinued them a year or so ago.

Took me almost 6months before i finally got a set too.

I found plenty of them when walking around various wreckers. Just look under Datsuns that would have had these nuts, like 200B SX or Aspen models, plus series one Bluebird LX models as well as any TRX.

People pull the mag wheels & dump the nuts in the dirt, bloody untidy bastards.
I wonder how many came back later to discover the nuts gone. The price is always right too.

I bought a full set of new ones for my 200B SX wheels a while back & I think they cost me about $100 or so at the time.

No, I don't have any spares available as I also have these wheels on my trailer & still have enough wheels left over to make another set.

Im happy that i was not the only one who purchased the trx rims without the nuts. You can try this which worked for me. I ground down mag wheel washers to fit into the rim where the nut sits.(2 pre hole) and then i used mag wheel nut which had a longer tube which went through the washers and into the rim. The nuts did not have a taper like the genuine ones, instead they were flat and they seated on the washers. This took a while to make the washers fit into the rim but it worked well for the 5 years that the rims were on the car. hope this helps.

Hey Dodgeman,

Can you measure up those wheel nuts?
Especially interested in the step diameter and length of the step. Also interested in the flat to flat width of the other end.

I'm happy to start making them if people reckon there is a market.

I think it would be easy to modify standard wheel nuts to suit. Especially a set of stepped wheel nuts, which can be purchased at most auto outlets.

I would just be a matter of parting off the step at the correct length, and maybe machine down the step's diameter.

Cheers,
Chris
