Hi everyone. I've been quoted a price of $185 to have a tailshaft modified where I supply all the parts. The price does not include a new tube, balancing, or uni joints.

Does this sound competitive???? Or is this a rip-off ???

I paid $200 for a cut and shut and retube. And $300 for cut, shut and straighten. Bloody rip-off but I cant do it myself so got no choice

edit: they also said they were so skillful they didnt need to balance them...

I supply my own (clean)yokes and get change from $200 for a retube. Just enough for a 6-pack.

In the past I have had tailshafts shortened but it costs nearly as much as a retube.
