Aussies, keep an eye out for this show...

Australia's "Dateline" films electric vehicles in Oregon, including John Wayland's 12-second Datsun 1200Quote:
This is an officially sanctioned NEDRA Event.

A film crew from Australia's version of PBS (SBS TV, Sydney www.sbs.com.au/dateline) will be there to document this EVent coming Friday night 7/28/06 6pm to 12am at Portland International Raceway-

Yeah Dateline is a quite serious current affairs show..a bit like 60 minutes. So the they'll be showing how successful electric power can be, in these days of expensive fuel. Will be a good episode to watch. I'll try to record it, if I figure out when it is on.

if you have a set top box there ia always ABC2 if you miss it on the normal channel

Yes we have Dateline as well but US version only.

If you can record it, would it be too difficult to make a mpeg4 clip of the Datsun part and post to the web?

Did any of you kiwis get a recording of the Datsun for the Blade's recreation?

The report on EV cars on Australian Dateline is next week. So 7 nights to go. I was just by fluke watching the end of tonights episode.

yay..by total fluke, and my incessant channel flipping during ads, I stumbled upon the episode and I taped the whole Datto section.

John Wayland is looking his best. It goes for about 5 minutes. I'll try to get the clips up in the next few days..
