Is this for real? Or am I just beng stupid? The header on this car is a nice equal-length piece and since almost everythign on the car is Comp, I am assuming it is a Comp piece also. The little kink at the collector wrapes around the bell-housing rather tightly and hits before the input shaft has completely come out of the motor. I have tried numerous approaches and it *appears* the only way to pull the motor is to pull the tranny WITH it or remove the extractors. Now I suppose if I were just pulling the TRANNY, I could rotate it a bit here and there and possibly slip them past each other, but pulling the motor you have no such flexibility. Very subjective question, I realize, but has anyone run into this with certain headers? Needless to say, it DOUBLES motor pulling time and this is totally unacceptable in a race car.
