As anyone out there ever attempted 2.3 4cyl Ford Turbo conversion? I gave up on the rotary conversion due to price of parts, just wanted to throw if anyone has ever attempted this??

It's been done in a few 510's that I've seen one motor was from a Mustang SVO (seen this and drove it in Denver about 10 years ago) and the other was a tuned Merkur XR4Ti motor (saw it in El Paseo, Texas about he same time) - The motor is about the same size as a KA24 so it may drop into a 1200 with some finesse, I'd ask the L-Series 1200 owners which crossmember they used then go from there (is the ford 2.3 rear or front sump?)

Thanks for the feedback. I believe the 2.3 has a rear sump.....I was planning on building a new x-member anyway, my only real worry is the steering. I cut a huge tunnel for my car so the tranny fitting doesn't worry me. Just want to do something different, but different isn't easy.

I've always wanted to do a Mitsubishi G54B inline four with a turbocharged 2.6 liter and when built proper you can get about 360HP
THAT would be different!
