changing diff oil?

just wondering if you need a special tool or somthing to remove the drain plug it looks like it need some type of square shaped allen key.

i just checked my diff oil level in my 620 & all i used was 1/2 inch ratchet fitted straight in try it

Getting the fluid out is the easy part. Refilling it is the tricky part, unless you have some sort of pump.

I did it this way recently (with the use of a compressor) - although I think the compressor is still a pretty good idea.

The pressurized jar is a sweet idea! Never even thought of that. I'm going to make one this weekend. BTW, I have a CokaCola type shelf myself. Sometimes dumpster diving turns up some rare jewels!!

if you can't get the drain plug out ( someone wrenched mine in ) you can siphon the oil out over night and then replace it. ( not quite as good as a real drain, but when you can't get the plug out it's better than nothing. )
