Hey Guys,

Looking for some information on what Max ignition advance people run in their CA's.

Also Does anyone Know how to Set shift Light (Auxillary Output) on a wolf ECU.
I can work out how to change what it is set to (boost, RPM,Vacuum etc) But can not figure out how to set rpm where the light will come at?
Please help

Jason

how about using the aux as a ground for the shift light.

then, rev the engine to the rpm you want the shift light to activate at..keep it there.

adjust the bar graph until your shift light lights up.

as for ignition timing, every engine is diff, with diff intercoolers, conditions of turbos, boost levels, fuel quantities etc.... you shouldn't use other peoples...witha turbo motor you should get the timing advance done on a dyno...

The problem is I can not work out how to locate or set the graph to set the activation level.

have u got the manual???

auxillary output - 1 select start button, 2 - press right arrow 3 -choose menu one, 4 use left and right arrow to modify parameter

if after doing step 2 nothing has happened...you may have (1) a version1 wolf hand controller or (2) a version 1 ecu..if so...I don't think they have any auxillary outputs. I have version 2 ecu, with version 1 handset and so I can't access the correct menu :(

Its also possible to do it using the laptop software, its easy enough to choose RPM activation but setting RPM value???

Hi datsik,

I have the manual.
Both items are V3 to my knowledge.
I have set the mentioned menu to RPM.
But can not find how to set the trigger rpm for the output.
It must be some where thats hard to find as it should be adjustable for many output options eg boost TPS Vac etc.
I dont have the link cable so can't try using the software.

I just thought maybe it is linked to the Rev limiter?????

Another problem is the car has no rego so can't test it easily in my estate by driving it around.

Thanks for your help
Jason

once you set it to RPM...

it should be simply a matter of using the arrow keys to increase/decrease the bar graph. (stay on same menu screen)

I spose the increasing the bar graph will increase the RPM at which the "aux output" will earth.

when connecting your shiftlight....remember that you are attaching the shiftlight earth to the wolf aux ouput. and the other shiftlight cable to 12 volts.

and when your talkin about shift light...I hope your not talkin about a shift light which has its own rpm activation unit. I hope your talkin about a basic globe.

Hi mate,

I have the wolf activating a 20,000 candle power LED.

When I am in the menu to set the activating base (Off, RPM, Vac, Boost, TPS etc). I find RPM. Then if I press select it goes to the main menu again. If I keep scrolling thru this menu it goes back to Off. The bagraph only moves up as you scroll thru options of activation bases and the goes back to Off when you past all activation types. You can make the bar graph go larger but I assume it has not effect as it reads Off on the controller.

Thanks Again Guys

Jason
