I'm having trouble finding a new 7/8 master cylinder that i can use in my 1200 without a booster..
I have been able to find 7/8 masters out of cars like the 240K or 260Z, but these cars all have boosters so the master cylinder doesn't have the pin sticking out of it to connect to my pedal..
Does anyone know a donor car or part number for a 7/8 master from a car that didn't come with a brake booster??
Thanks..

It is a possibility.. I asked a local brake shop and they said it is possibe so long as there is enough wall thickness, although the part that is steering me away from it is the price - they want just over $200 to do it. In comparison, I can buy most master cylinders i've looked at for under $100 through my work..

Id be real interested to know if there is anything to use, even some off a toyota or mitsi could fit.

Forgot to tell you about the clutch master, ive got a remote setup so i still use the cable, have a look through my photos there is a pic somewhere.

How much of the install have you done now?

I just got the coupe over to my new house on the weekend, so haven't made huge progress yet.. The motor will be in soon though, once i sort out the clutch master etc..
I have a few progress photos which i plan to put in my album soon, but i haven't got regular access to the internet at the moment and i keep forgetting to take my flash drive with me :)
If anyone has any ideas for a 7/8 master then speak up!

Just make a non captive pushrod to suit
You won't buy a 7/8 one with a captive rod
This is what I do with my 1000 conversions that use a 13/16 sunny one and no booster

Same principal applies

No the 1200 one will be too short
You need a longer one to cut down
I use Toyota clutch master ones for mine
