Hi all I know you all have heard this before but I just want to put a few things straight.
First of all, I have a 60 series 5-speed normal shift pattern gearbox which I will be installing into my 120y coupe, on the back of my A12 motor.
I want to know what problems have people had when doing this job?????????
I have heard that the reverse switch may hit on the tranmission tunnel and has to be removed, also I know the rear engine mount is slightly back more than the four speed one, but can I use the b310 sunny mount?????????

Also has any one had problems with the speedo reading incorrectly?????
If bolted to an A12 motor which mine will be, has anyone had problems with using the original A12 pressure and clutch plate????

If any of you fellow datto fans could just give me some advice before I get down and dirty, it would help me greatly. just So I know what to look out for.

GO THE DATTO!!!!

dunno bout the reverse switch, but you should have no worries with the clutch and whatnot. it cant hurt to bung a newie in whiile the box is out though. only 80 or 90 bucks. it always sucks when you have to dismantle #### to do a job you ought to have done earlier

I think the problem is with the 63a, my L-series box is the same deal and i removed the mounts from inside the tunnel to accomodate the switch and speedo cable.

The car is only a weekender any only comes out of the shed once a fornight and so the clutch hasn't hasn't much use. Anyway it's been replaced not long ago.
My plans are for an A15 motor down the track anyway.

Thanks for you help, anymore info or tips would be a huge help.
