There's not much info available. Here's what I know:
- Expect 14 second quarter mile times with stock KA24E in a Datsun 1200 (versus 21 seconds with A12 and 17 seconds with built A14)
- KA24 fits into 1200 without cutting the firewall

We've got a ka24de ready to go into one of our 1200's. To use the stock 240sx tranny will definitely mean some modifications to the transmission tunnel. Making mounts for the engine seems simple enough, its really just some flat flates welded to the crossmember at an angle with gussets. I think the mounts are the same as the sr20det, of which there is plenty of swap info for.
The ka24de is nearly twice as heavy as the A series. 370 pounds versus 200. its heavier than the sr20det. But it also seems like a very cost effective conversion, at least for Americans.
And a turbo ka24de will make much more power than an sr20det if done right.
