Don't know if anyone has seen this site but its pretty interesting.

The price for ute's and coupes are way off, I just wish they could be found at what they state.

Coupe

Yeah, but isn't the red book for car dealers.......?

It'd explain why the buy prices are so low.

What's the difference between a used car dealer & a catfish?
One's a scum sucking bottom feeder & the other's a fish.

red book, glasses guide they are there for the true value of the cars from the markets persepective. they do not take into consideration sentimental value/ rarity really or demand due to fads/demand

its like a walkinshaw, some willpay $30000 up for one, but is it really worth that much for a commodore made of plastic? (only to those who think so)(used only as an eample, let the flaming begin)

Are 1994 vtir preludes really worth 15000 when a 1999 is only worth 20000 or a 1993 pulsar sss worth 12000 when a 2001 is only $17000.

supply vs demand, and the facts dont take that into account as reality by car industry is that each car should have a lifespan, usually 10 to 15 years for the general market max.

Yeah, thats why I think they're way off, its good to know what sort of profit margin dealers are making on some models.

A dealer won't pay more than say $800 for a good example of a ute yet they will sell it for say $5000. Not bad for detailing a car. And no way is the natonal private sale average $1800-3000, on more utes than not some sort of engine conversion has been done.
