What is it, is it a nut? like a castle nut? like what connects your steering box to your steering rick.

Photo's just not clear enough to tell for sure.

Do you mean the square with the 4 bolt holes as well or just that nut looking think in the centre?

Its actually a diff flange that connects to the tailshaft. I need to know if any of the datto diffs have anything like it

most diffs have a 4 bolt diff flange with a nut like that in the middle. measure the distance between holes. or find out what diff it is that its attached to!

So yes it could be off a Datsun!

looks familiar
looks like the flange on the end of the 1200 diff (similar anyway - or maybe not, i remember something like it when we stripped a mates 1200 sedan for a rebuild)
but not sure too tell u the truth - im not upside down under a datto all day to no the intracasies of a diff flange plate

Hi my 1200 coupe diff flange looks the same but the pinion nut looks different. It has no holes for a split pin and the nut seems to be a self locking type (lock nut)

Do the holes match up and is the shape of the flange the same despite the nut being different?
