I Would have thaught t3 would have been huge for a a12. I mean the smallest engine i can think of with one is z18?

Why not something which will boost a bit lower? T2 of e15 kinda size

Depends on your rev range i reckon..
A .42/.48 T3 would be good for a high revving 1200cc,no idea when it'd spool with such little displacement,i'm guessing around 3000rpm
A T2 or a T25 would spool earlier and would be sufficient I think.

Please correct me if i'm wrong for i'm wanting to learn more about Dattos.
Back in the Netherlands i was all Honda...hardly any Dattos there

garret has a nice set of charts to help you pick the best turbo.
I think for the A12 you'd want one of the first 3 smallest, probably #1 or 2, #3 seemed perfect for a mild A15 and #4 seemed the largest you'd want to go.

the charts will help you pick where the boost comes on and make sure you don't have any over boost problems.

a turbo where the boost comes on at 3k is no fun! you want peak torque under 3500 for a good ride. nothing wrong with getting into the boost in your NA powerband. you just need enough flow to go to your red line.

but the compressor maps show that.

prices... hmm that varies.it'll cost a bit, but do it once and do it right and it'll be worth while.

I run an Air Research M10 (same internal size as T2) but slightly smaller outside. I think T3 will be way to big. After all if it's a road car you don't want to be rev'n it's head off all day only whne you have to
