I've just bought a 1971 4 door 510 and it has an L20b motor in it. I would like to know if the wiring in the car needs to be modified for that motor. I don't know whether that is the stock motor that comes in that year car (i was told to get a gasket kit for a series 1 or 2 nissan bluebird). Also i was wondering if anyone had a full wiring scematic for that car? Also, i am in need of instructions to do a complete re-gasket on the motor. the main thing right now for me is to see if it is the right motor that came in that car? Also i was wondering if i have the stock head on it or not? The head is stamped U67, it looks brand new and i dontt know if it is stock or not? I appreciate all the help that i can get.

I would say that a 1971 510 would most likely have come out with an L16. but I dont think the wiring would need much if any modifying for the change to an L20b.

Stock is a L16 but the L20 will use the same wiring so no biggie there. Next get on e-aby or where ever and get a manual.
