i am trying to take off the timing cover on my A15 because of a waterleak from around the waterpump housing against the block. i have removed all the small bolts holding the cover on, aswell as the big end bolt and harmonic balancer. as i began to remove the cover from the top with a screwdriver my suspisions were confirmed and there was no gasket between the cover and the block. i tried to pry the timing cover off all the way around but when it gets to the bottom part (where it contacts the sump) it simply wont budge.
is there anything holding the bottom of the timing cover on? i noticed there was silicon between the sump and the cover, could this be holding it on? do i have to take the sump off?
i also took the big end seal out jut to make sure that it wasnt stopping it from coming off but that didnt work either....
what do i do?

Yep, there are two bolts attached to the oil pan. Normally the oil pan is removed first.
