yes, all A series had the same 6 bolt pattern.

i am guessing it is a12 flywheel, i have two one is 2 3rds the size (thickness) of the other and seems heaps lighter

well put the lighter one on then mate. it would appear you have scored one that has been lightened. there is a small weight difference between A12/14 flywheels but not 2/3rds difference

The early A12s used different bolts (imperial, not metric threads). I thought they were a different diameter holes in the flywheel.
But if you have newer A12 there should be no question it will work.
