Take a look at the compressor & the method of mounting it.
It looks a bit like a good 'ole York chug-along, 2 cylinder type. It also looks like it might bolt to the right side of the engine.
Whatever it is, it certainly isn't intended to be attached to the left side of the block, which had been re-designed in '74 for the purpose of mounting an aircon compressor.

Yep definately - the setup in my ute has a professional (factory?) mount and it's down low on the left side of the block. It's a drum-shaped rotary type compressor unlike this one...
