Hey peeps

how can u tell if an a14 engine is stuff without seeing it run?

wat shouuld i check?

You cant really without leak down testing it, but even then you really need to have a look at the bearings.

LOL, there were NO Australian spec small Datsun cars that were available with a 5 speed gearbox.
According to Ade, there were some B310 Sunny coupes that were sold here with 5 speeds, but I suspect that there were VERY few of these.

To all practical intents & purposes, all of the 5 speed gearboxes in Australia were imported.

What [or who] gave you the idea that Aussie models were available with these?

i dnt believe i did say i was talking bout aussie models..

i found a sunny wagon with a A14.. my mate and i think its a 5speed... so thats why i was asking,

coz i will take the lot if it was..
