Was watching TOPGEAR on SBS last night thought "who is the Stig?" is he an old formula 1 driver? he seems a very confident driver with a love for classical music while driving. Anyone know if he is a well known Celeb??

I have a shirt that says "I am the Stig" on the front

Ive watched all the topgear the BBC shows plus the reruns and I still have no clue

i used to think that it was daymon hill but after he was on the show im not so sure?
now i think that it is mika hakinnen the old mclaren driver that is now racing in the dtm in germany

So who is the Stig now then - that guy was the Stig for the first 22 episodes (or roughly first 3 seasons).....who has it been since season 4 - 9?

Possibly a female drive?? if so she's good!!

From memory "the Stig" is a Spainish, F1 test driver, his names eludes me just now.

Speaking of topgear, I was most chuffed with last nights episode, with the hillclimb challenge between the "boys from the hood" GTi golf boasting 200HP + V's "the Old boys in Tweed suits" Austin Healey Frog Eye with a 120HP +
