Steering Wheel??

I have a sports steering wheel in my 1200 ute and I am having issues with the wheel hitting the indicator stick when i turn corners. This is not a problem during the day as i can leave the indicator stick on the High beam setting however at night it is very annoying to drive, constantly putting the indicator on and moving the stick in between high beam and on so the lights flash off. Just wondering Has this happened to any other members with sports steering wheels and how did they rectify the situation.

If you use the correct boss kit it should put the wheel out far enough, go have alook at boss kits in a shop somewhere and compare with what you have, I have a feeling yours will be wrong.

What's the measurements of these "indicator hitting" boss kits? Just curious. Should be in the market for one soon but would prefer to avoid said problem. Thanks.

Try a new boss with more clearance. They're not too expensive.

Hmm.. curious - it COULD be that you have a 120Y indicator stalk - I just replaced the one in my 1200 with a 120Y one (wrecking yard didn't have any 1200s) and it's angled differently so that it hits the wheel too...

food for thought...

i have a "supposed" 1200 boss and a "flat" steering wheel and i have the original 1200 indicator stalk, it sat real close o the wheel but with a little bit of a bend to get the stalk parallel to the wheel i now have noissues at all, other issue was with the indicator switch off thingy's on the back of the boss .... had to bend them in slightly from memory to get the indicators to turn off
