If you could genuinely buy a 10% boost in power for a paltry $50, even $50-US, then every used car would have one & car makers would fit them as standard on new models, ... but they don't.
There's got to be a reason for that.

Probably the best you can do for $50 would be to give it a MAJOR tune up & service, just exactly as per the book. Once that is done, experiment with the timing a wisker. I run mine at 10 degrees advanced at 600rpm with the vacuum hose disconnected at the distributor & plugged [to prevent any air being sucked into the carb during the timing setting process]
Refit the vacuum hose to the distributor when finished.

For a nice little boost in driveability, serviceability & a reduction in maintainance, I fitted a Pertronix electronic ignition system [more than $50 though] & a Bosch GT40r coil to my 1200 & it 'seems' to run more smoothly than before. Starts even more easily too.

Its a "Vortex Generator". In other words its a bit of tin your supposed to fit in your intake pipe to make the air spin. Nothing at all to do with supercharging.
Probably about as much use as an electric supercharger.
Personally I wouldnt bother.

Taken from there own website:-

NO REPRESENTATION IS BEING MADE THAT ANY PARTICULAR VEHICLE AND DRIVER WILL OR IS LIKELY TO ACHIEVE GAINS IN HORSEPOWER OR FUEL EFFICIENCY SIMILAR TO THOSE REPORTED BY PREVIOUS CUSTOMERS. IN FACT, SUBSEQUENT USERS MAY EXPERIENCE SHARP DIFFERENCES IN THE PERFORMANCE THEY ACHIEVE AS COMPARED TO THOSE RESULTS PREVIOUSLY REPORTED.
