Hahahahahahaha
Well maybe - i hope to have mine finished one day - unlike the never ending story of Craig's car Nah, just a little pressure from my mate who won't let me upgrade my current rollcage so the new components will have to go into the spare seam welded shell Maybe there will be a yellow coupe up for sale later in the year .......
Cheers

hehehe nothing wrong with the SR20's just the converstion engineer doing the transplant!!! (ie ...me)
Jeff, Geoff for SSS automotove at Girraween did mine for around $500 incl loom. You can have my ECU for nics as well if you like...
Gearbox I went for R32 GTST skyline turbo box which also was around $400 plus I had to but and SR20 bellhousing which was aorunf the 150 mark. All pretty cheap considering a celica with dellow would set you back $1200 alone.
Get the S13 engine as you can do more to them long term for racing.
All this for 105kw standard not bad considering it would cost you $5-6k to put you in full house a series category plus you have extra drivabiliity with the injection and torque with the 2.0 litres. And if it dies then only $400 to replace it.

Hey R Fast yeah catch up anytime....the car is still at mechanics awaiting a new racing radiator. I didnt use a dummy block but had a bit of an advantage where I had some simple engine mounts given to me by a IPRA member which was bolted to the standard x member uprights in the 1200.
Id wait until ive got mine together before u take the plunge...have a drive of it and if its a goer then do the conversion.,

Hey Craig,
rang Geoff at SSS today. Top bloke, plenty of advice and the price was okay too!! This will be for the spare seam welded shell, so no worries - it will happen this year. Want to get the motor dummied in early on so all the fabricating can get a head start
Will catch up soon.
Cheers

Hey Jeff.

Try the wrecker out at Parkes (Parkes Auto Wreckers in the phone book).

He was into hillclimbs a while back and was building up a new machine last time I saw him. He had a couple of SR20's (one with very nice injection setup) sitting in the back room. Not sure what he wanted for them but he did tell me they were for sale. He might still have them...I don't think he was advertising them.

Dan.
