Does somebody have a bolt from a CA18 that holds the flywheel to the crank? I do not want the bolt, I just really need to know what they look like.

I am trying to reassemble my motor and box but am not sure which bolts are which and I would like to buy new ones.

Would some kind person be able to take a picture of this bolt for me?

Thanks in advance

Dave

BEWARE.. I've seen people strip out bolts by using ones that are too long. Good Idea to ask.
Nissan FAST lists the Auto and Manual as using the same bolt:

Part number 12310A

Thanks for that chris, but how do you know that is the right bolt?

All 3 have the same part number and none of them mention the CA18?

Hey Dave - you end up buying new flywheel bolts.

I rang Nissan today to get some for my engine (two of the 8 I have look a little worse for wear, so will replace all 8).

Nissan Frankston quoted $11.36 each - so $90.88 all up.

Anyone able to get them cheaper in SE Melb?

ARP do a bolt that works they suit a ford Pinto 2000 you will need two sets though as there are only 6 in a set you need more. They where pretty cheep too cheaper than the nissan stock items and in my opinion better.
Cheers Andrew
They are metric 10x1.0x30
Cheers

Thanks for the tip Andrew - I see them in the catalog.

I'll do a ring around tomorrow see who carries them down my way (I assume Repco, Burson, Supercheap will all be able to order)

I ended up buying 2 new and used 6 old bolts. The new ones cost about $6.50 from nissan. They seemed to think there was two variants of the bolt and the other one cost about $9 so I (naturally) went for the cheaper one!

Ben, I rang around a few places trying to get my hands on the ARP bolts but had no luck.

I had the same experience so I got them to order in one of each. The only difference was the length.

Sounds like Nissan Frankston might be a little pricer. I'll have a go at finding the ARP ones first.

If I find them I'll let you know where - otherwise, I imagine you would have gone to the Nissan closest to your place (I'll give them a call too)

Found the ARP bolts at Victorian Speed Pro - a wholesalers but I imagine he'll still sell them to me.

I'm waiting to hear back from them as they have ordered them. If it is all successful I should have the bolts tomorrow.

I rang all the major retailers most don't stock them, Repco's distrubtor doesn't sell them, nor Burson. Auto Pro will stock them, as will Australian Auto.

Maybe that info will save someone else the time.
