wheels rubbing
Guest_
well lowered the front end finaly in thesedan, the lowrider style 13's rubbed at full lock on drivers side.
took the old mallet to the floor pan trick and it shattered in a spot... damn previous owner fiberglassed over a rust hol that had been fixed but not welded over. (will get it fixed properly now)

question is can i just use lower profile tyres on front end 13 x 6 inch 0 offset to stop the rubbing or are my assumptions right that no matter what tyres i use it will always rub.
using 165 70 r 13 at moment. was thinking of either 155 0 r13 or 165 60 or 55 r13 but they are damn expensive for steel rims.

if you have to fix the rust where the tyres were rubing maby you should reshape it while you are at it so the tyres dont scrub there again

smaller profile will do the trick, look at my car...its lower than yours and theres no scrubbing

just gotta sort out those damn camber tops.....they keep popping my springs out coz they dont let the top spring hat turn

nah finished uni early yesterday, came home and made spacer things, then made smaller spacer things, then cut the springs a bit

still dont have the same ride height as before, but a ####e load more camber
think some redrilling of the strut tower is in order so its just castor adjustment
going to try to make the original bearing thingo fit in somewhere tomorrow

you might be able to squeeze the bearing in between that spacer thing and the spring hat...

on a side note, panel beater will fix the floor pan with metal, but wont change the angle on it... wants to follow the the existing floor pan as its easier (and free if he does it this way)
