I finally got the snapped heads stud out, by using some vice grips, done up sooooo tight, with the help of an F clamp.
When i was putting the new gasket on, i found it didnt go on too well, then i saw another stud was bent! luckily it was easy to remove.
So now all i need is a new carbie (NSW people with a spare -let me know) and it is running.

I've got a spare carby, fresh from an A12, which unfortunately accepted a date with the scrap metal man. If you are down Sydney way give me a buzz. I knew the carby was
more useful than the smoking engine. It's in my stockpile someplace...

I have a spare DGAV 32/36 weber that came off my old A12 if you want it? it has a 'lynx' adapter plate, which bolts on to a standard inlet manifold. say $80. I think it has a
k&n air filter too.
