hi all wanting to do a engine conversion to my 1200 ute cause losing my p plates 4 3 to 6 months so need some help with what would be the best conversion for the 1200 ... cant drive turbo cause of p plate rules n will have about 4 to 5 grand to spend on conversion so if use can help me it would be great thanks

Forget i said that aha.
Prob the easiest and best starter conversion is the ol a14 or a15 transplant. Just a 1400 or 1500cc version of the standard a12 already in ur 1200.
Do a search, there is HEEAAAAPPSS of info on the subject and has been done many many times before.
Not hard to get a decent amount of poke out of them as the 1200's are so light. Very cost effective engine swap.

Ive always been keen for a SR20DE conversion.. late model and go really well. Prob not within ur budget but!!
OR u could just do a worked A15 or similar.. Been tried and tested and they haul arse!! haha
