sedan vs kanga... and the winner is
Guest_
the kanga.... dented in the rear drivers door and 1/4 at 80kmh approx (maybe lees evn it was a steep hill).
Not much visual damage except missing paint on rear of 1/4 but very dented, rear window only winds 1/4 way down now and rear bumper is intergrated into the 1/4 panel. Not real happy.

All this 1 week after getting rear 1/4's and roof fixed from panel shop

Kanga was then run over by a 4wd and jumped up and back ito the bush

No pics currently, waiting for insurance to finalise it next couple of weeks.

that sucks.
why is it the stupid things will always run into the side of the car. my mates honda accord had a totally rooted side from kangaroos repeatedly running into it!
nearly had them come in an open drivers window too

Unlike a large quadraped, a Kangaroo's main body mass is down low in its hips & legs, & that's the part that gets hit when one runs into these brain dead chunks of dogfood.
This is why they do so much damage.

They also seem to delight in trying to outrun a vehicle from the side, & on a convergant angle. The usual result is that they hit the side of the vehicle, & with the body mass down at door level, it's the larger unsupported panels, like door skins & rear quarters that suffer most.
If no replacement panel or door skin is available, then the damaged panel is often found to be stretched, requiring quite a bit more work to fix than would first appear to be the case.

Kangaroos & Merino sheep would be the most stupid creatures ever put on planet earth.

from what I've heard (may not be true), you guys have the same problem with deer?

I was lucky with mine, I hit him as he was jumping up, all his weight landed downwards on the bonnet (still pushed the rad support back an inch) then he bounced over the roof putting about 5 little dents in it on his way over.
