Does anyone have dim's for the bush that sits inside the steering column?

I want to machine up a new nylon one to replace the bakalite (is that what it is?) one that's in there now.... It's pretty flogged out.

Any tricks to getting the old one out?

What a good idea mine,s flogged out 2 If I get time this arvo I,ll pull it to bits and send you the dims, Do you know somebody with a lathe??

My local Nissan spare's guy is telling me the steering column bush is no longer available.

Price is around $45.00 Don,t know if any1 can get trade but it,s gotta be cheaper.. It,s just a bush!!4 crying out loud..Haven,t had a chance to pull mine apart yet, the bloody exhaust fell off it an I,m tryn to finish a reno on my son,s house, Whew just not enuf hrs in the day

O.k.... Pulled the bush out, measured it up & made a new one.

I've stuck the bush dimensions in my photo album for future reference.
Anyone with a lathe & a bit of know-how should be able to make a replacement out of nylon or similar.
