Just had to share this story will you all. I got this 1200 coupe that has been sitting for over 10 years, came without a key, got one yesterday. So this morning I decided to see if this car would start. So I removed air cleaner, and vaccumed out the walnuts and mouse nest that was there. Looked in the Carb and it looked fairly clean, so I hooked up an old battery, and turned the key. To my surpise the engine started to crank over, well the motor is not frozen. Then I got real smart and shot some starter fluid in the carb, turned the key again, and I`ll be the motor fired-up and idled for a few seconds. Now this is where it get really interesting, instead of pouring gas in the gas tank I put the fuel line in a soda bottle full of gas(smart, Yes). Turned the key one more time and BINGO constant idle. That I think is good for sitting over 10 years.

Hey BendDatsun, Glad to see you are still around. What do you think about that 1200? Pretty cool Yea, now for the brakes. What is the use of starting if I can`t STOP?
What up with Canby you going?

it may start but through the rev range it may be a bit yuk. Also how long will it give reliable service.
Do a good service on her and look after her and she will be loyal and faithful to you for many more years.

I will do more to it to make sure it will last, I just wanted to see what she would do after sitting that long. Already replaced all rubber fuel lines, cleaned and repaired fuel pump, carburator is next. Not to mention all water lines. Good thing is that the car only has 60k on it(original miles)
