I have a question for some of the experts I was thinking of making a intake for my a-12 2 run twin mikuni's already have su;s for it wondering if there is anything I should consider or know before I try?
I want to make it from aluminum

if your going to make it from aluminium then i hope you have experience with it!
things to consider would be tube length; short = power in high revs, longer = power in lower revs.
the next thing to consider is why? can you not buy an intake to suit your setup?

I believe I can But, I thought If I made one It would be less expensive, and I could fix the clearence problems I have with the brake master.
I do have experience with aluminum

mate i say go for it! the only things i would consider is the base plate that bolts to the head. i would use a 12mm plate then once you,ve finished it get it milled back to 10 0r 11mm to make sure the mating surface is flat and not bowed or welds might crack seen that happen to many times on cheap turbo manifolds. and the second thing would be the grade of ally you use cheers wayne

My coupe used to run a home made mainfold on a A15. Long runners. So long that the dude who made it belted the shock tower with a hammer to create more room for the carbs! Was a really fast setup.
