1200 Ute spare tyre support

When i got my ute the spare TRX rim was strapped in the tray, and there was no cage/suppert for the spare.

So im wondering if on the 1200 Ute, does the spare tyre support under the tray hold a rim bigger than 12inch ?? (as per standard)
Also Im currently looking for the support cage (let me know if you can help with a spare)

It may hold a 15" diam. tyre but I would think the limiting factor would be the tyre section not diameter.
The tray originally was for a 560x12" tyre [143mm section].
Try getting one of THOSE now!
Anything fatter than that will be a tight fit without extending the frame down.
If you haven't got the cradle thingy, perhaps a custom made one to accomodate the TRX wheel and tyre would be wise.
An alternative would be a space saver spare, that would be skinny enough to fit in the standard cradle

or use a stocky 12 inch wheel as your spare...should be pretty close in diameter to a 195 50 15

unless you can no longer run 12s on your ute

Na the 12inch rims got Frisbeed when i went for disc brake conversion. The space saver is not a bad idea. How funny is that !! a 15inch space saver with datto stud pattern. (who knows of any?) Also custom making a tyre support to suit 15inch is also a nice idea. Who has done this any pic's or suggestions ??

Any of the 4 stud 180SX/Sylvia/R32 Skylines would have a suitable space saver.
Because they are so weird, a 14" rim may still fit over your brakes

discs all round? if not you can still use the 12

non turbo skylines come with a 15 inch space saver, only problem is that the tires are way to big....135 90 15
if you could get a low profile tire then it would work
and if you do let us know, just happen to have said skyline spacy that i nabbed from my mates r33(it was 5 stud so he couldnt use it)
