I was told that you can take a l20b engine and bore it out .080 over and use the crank and pistons out of a Z22 to make a L22, but that is all i know.

or you could just put the l20b head on the z22 and make an L22
better off using an L18 head though

you can make an L24 using a Z24 crank

more info on L and Z series here

Ozdat has Reams of info on this. When i get tired of this L18 in the sunny coupe, I'm going to build a 2.4 litre L20b for it. I already have the Z24, & getting an l20B would probably take 1 phone call to Stewart Wilkins, who has lots of them sitting round, getting in the way.I'm just going to bore it out to take z24 pistons, & i already have a l18 SSS head sitting round doing nothing.Should make for an interesting Khana cross car.
