well now that im turboing the mighty A15. What do i need to upgrade oil wise? Im thinking a cooler would be a good idea, also would i need to upgrade the oil pump? I know you can adapt L series bits but im not too keen on fabricating shafts etc.
Where does the Oil cooler fit in? I have been offered a cooler, lines and sandwich to suit a L series. Does it need a sandwich or can i run it off the pump, like at the pressure switch???

Also for the turbo, do i have to plumb the oil return line back into the sump? Or can i T peice the cooler lines and run it back in thru there?

a modded L pump won't hurt.

on my car i have a oil filter relocate plate, the output to the oil filter has a check valve right at the pump, then the line goes up to the filter on the strut tower, then from there it runs across the engine bay to the oil thermostat, then to the cooler and back down to the oil pump inlet.

i'd put in a T on the line that returns filtered cooled oil to the engine and get the turbo oil there, the line to the turbo is very small, too much oil is bad. from the turbo the oil drain goes directly back to the sump.

none of those parts are really specific to any motor. it's about the only parts i use that i can get in stock at the hotrod shop.

make sure the filter relocate plate has the right threads for the oil pump. there's only like 2 choices SAE and Metric, but be sure.

If you're lucky then you have a hydraulic supply shop and they'll have bulk hose and high pressure ends, the check valve is a bit harder to find, yeah teh hydraulic place has those too, but I don't like using one that takes 50psi to open

a wise person will keep a few feet of hose and a splice kit in the car incase something unexpected happens. no that the hose will burst, but stupid things can happen, and it's much easier to have the stuff to do a field repair.

my turbo a14 has an oil cooler and for the second engine i have run the oil feed line from the oil pressure switch. on the engine that has expired, i had extra holes drilled into the block. cost me about $350.
my set up was done by a workshop in wangara before i bought it so if u want to check it out, let me know. the car is not running yet as i am just installing thermos and finishing touches but at least u can get a visual.
