i need help befor i crack and sell the ute..
i can rev its nuts out of gear but as soon as try put your foot down in gear it revs up to about 4500 and pops and farts ,then you can lift your foot up a little and it will pick up again but still wont go past 5000 .... only in gear revs fine out of gear i dont under stand please help

to me is sounds like your ignition is pooing out.
Clean all the terminals/contacts including the dist cap rotor arm and contacts. make sure everything is making good ground and contact.
Then try again. also check plugs are on tight.

thanks cheater but i tryed that yesterday i pulled all the plugs, leads,dizy cap,rotor button and contacts any outher thoughts

Condensor probably #### itself, $5 part, replace and try again.

yea that was my second guess.
Im leaning towards electrical system as its happened to me often. also while you are at it check the timing. good thing to do whilst you are at it. shud be 7degrees for a12.
