Probably would need to re-kit the dellortos to suit turbo application, then box them into a plenum with an inlet for the turbo boost via an intercooler i would suggest.
May be a bit of mucking around with tuning, but it could be done.

An Alfa 1750! That must be a fun Datsun to drive.

Turboing with Dellorto carburetors is just like doing the same with Weber DCOE. You can either box them or use a suck through setup. For general information, see wiki - Forced Induction

Easier? With a blower you have to rig up belt and brackets, and still have to either box the carb or use a suckthrough setup.

Better result? With a rootes type you will get different resulting torque curve with better performance at low RPM and worse performance than a turbo at high RPM. With a turbine type supercharger, you won't get as much power as with an exhaust driven turbo if both are engineered equally well.

But a supercharger has a much more linear feel -- and no turbo lag.

I would like to supercharge it but in south-africa you don't get it cheap.

It is possible, lotus did it, but when a member of this site tried it (and he went to great lengths to do it right) it was a failure, I say ditch the sidedraughts for fuel injection ($$$$), or go draw through.
PM Kegs he will run you through the pitfalls.
