my question is
i have a 71 datsun 1200 ute
i have a 1.6 turbo engine
it came with 4wheel drum brakes
running stock diff at d moment.

What is the minimum brake upgrade requirement to get rego and engineered.

I have been told if any car come with 4wheel drum pre 197?.A disc brake front of any kind will do aslong as it has better breaking power then before.

can any1 tell me what they had to do or what they have for rego.

i want to run 120y discs and booster on front.

i would like to leave back stock if i can

ANY1 HELP

I think you will find it is up to the discretion of the consulting engineer.
If he thinks the brakes you have put on are OK then its OK.

I dont think 120Y front discs are anywhere near good enough for the engine you are putting in, and thats not engineering wise but safety and performance wise.

You will run out of brakes, I wouldnt even be happy with that setup running an NA A15.
