When i bought my ute, i had a special plastic csleeve placed over the dash pad.(top) this shrinks when heated and sticks like a glove, leaving no lines or rinkles perfect. its done by a auto trimmer and its the easyiest and cheapest way.
I also went through this upgrading my dash thing too and have found a custom aluminium dash is best for me. should come up very nice

hey dav i think the best way to do the alloy dasd is to take out the instrumt cluster ( that plastic bit that holds the speedo and stuff in ) and put a flat bit of alloy in drill the holes for the tacko and speedo and bling its a cool lookin dash :)

Yeah that was my original idea that or get 1 o 120fly's fibreglass dashes...
but then i saw the other types o dashes people r using...
Thought i'd try 2 find out more...
in particular if i cut a dash 2 fit what do i use to patch up cut segments? n process involved...

eg. silvia dash
