Hey all, ive noticed that there are some people out there selling converted pulsar distributors for a series engines.
I also noticed that they seem to be a bit pricey considering you can purchase a pulsar electronic dissy from the wreckers for very little.
So, with that in mind ive been working on a simple kit that will enable most people to do the conversion themselves.
I invisage the kit costing around the $50-70 mark, maybe less. All you will need to do is buy the electronic dissy and coil from the wreckers, and with a drill and a few simple tools, presto! you got a electronic dissy for your A series.
I just wanted to see what sort of interest there is in this kit, as i have a prototype on the go at the moment, and if there is enough i will make a few more.
I dont see why it wouldn't be possible to do an exchange if you dont think you could do it yourself. But i will be looking at including a step by step guide .
Let me know what you think...

excluding the E15 dizzy and coil.. there will be SFA in the kit. The A series gear and a roll pin? Thats all you need... And A series dizzys are cheaper then E15.

I found out how to convert em and made the step by step guide. Ive made 3 so far. You dont really need anything extra. Donno why people were paying $150+ for a E15 dizzy that costs $20-50 from a wrecker. Its so easy to convert!

Sorry if i ruined your business idea

all this info is pretty much public domain, just use the search box.

Some people may not feel like making one, so there is some business potential.

See, i have made an adapter plate so you just bolt the pulsar dissy and strap it on with the a series cog attached.
There is no grinding or modifying the dissy other than attaching the gear. you could pull it out and reuse it in a pulsar if you wanted to.
Im looking into cnc cut adapters so they will look nice and there will be no dramas for someone to do at home in half hour or so.
One drill hole and away you go. Technically anyone could modify a pulsar dissy by grinding off bits and tapping a thread, but its far easier to just drill one hole, attach a gear and bolt it in.
